Usually, to be in picture about something, one forms an opinion, more rarely one would actually perceive something. While working, again and again the purpose has to do with light, centering, reflection - a model-situation to get to the heart of something - an attempt to turn perceptions into vivid, sensorial objects for contemplation.
Preferential media are oil painting and photography.
