Heike Willmaser
Heike WILLMASER's visual thinking is to paint what she wants without sticking to conventional rules. Cubism with Mystics, the need t abstract with repression, hallucinating surrealism and its roots to a child's way of painting, joke and folly. This is what you find in her work. The repertoire of her painting is diversified and difficult to classify. Born in April 9, 1963 in Gera/Thüringen, grew up in an artist's family.
1981 - Emigrated to Germany, trained in the profession of screen printing. Further art training in Munich and Passau. Freelancing artist since 1989.
Lives and works mainly in Vienna, otherwise she is "incognito" somewhere in search of inspiration .
In 2000 Heike Willmaser created her " Astrology Walk" which is the third part of the " Walk of Art" (Idea - Friedrich Hundertwasser ) - which connects the " Hundertwasserhaus" to the " Kunst Haus" Vienna.
Heike Willmaser found another activity as an author and illustrator of fairy tales. Additionally she plays a puppet show and creates extraordinary puppets.
Member of the ART FORUM Graz since 1999.
Member of the Austrian-Romanian Institute of Culture.
Successfully shows her distinctive and profound work in many national and inetrnational exhibitions.
2005 three of her paintings where printed as stamps and distributed by the Austrian Post Office.
